i get jealous when i hear about folks protecting other womyn.

cuz all my life & all the shit i been in where i need protecting & defending.

& i can’t remember but one time where it was actually done.

& it wasn’t by no men or no cops. it was by other WoC.

its a sick feeling knowing that aint no one here for you. & that when shit goes down you’ll be fighting for yoself.

& that you gotta fight with & hide from everyone who told you that they loved you.

that you gotta be scared to walk around cuz everyone wanna hurt you.

that you can’t never rest or relax. you always gotta be on your toes. cuz for someone reason everyone hates you.
